I’m Joni Beth Henry, MSW, LSW, One of my greatest joys as a therapist is working with couples. I’m especially passionate about helping partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen their emotional and physical intimacy. Whether you’re facing conflict, disconnection, or struggling to navigate the demands of marriage and parenting, I bring both clinical insight and lived experience to help you find your way back to each other.
I bring over 25 years of dedicated experience in social work, with a career spanning Community Mental Health, Schools, Private Practices, State agencies, and the Justice System. I’m certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), having trained at Torrance State Hospital, and I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I take an integrative approach to therapy, using modalities such as EFT, CBT, and ACT, and I strongly believe there is no “one size fits all” in mental health care.
I find deep fulfillment in the therapeutic process and genuinely enjoy my work—especially those moments when a client has made such meaningful progress that they no longer need to meet with me. In addition to my education and professional experience, I bring a personal understanding of the challenges that come with marriage, parenting, and navigating life’s transitions.
I’m especially effective in working with clients experiencing Body Dysmorphic Disorder, particularly following weight loss, sudden or unplanned weight gain, and those living with diabetes or low self-esteem. My goal is always to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and empowered to grow.
I look forward to working with you.
